What? No Tasting Notes?

Wait a second! Shouldn’t a wine blog have tasting notes? How come there are no wine reviews or scores here?

1. There are a lot of other “this tastes of fruit and nuts” sites out there already.

2. I believe that every palate is unique.*

3. Reviews and scores are the subjective opinions of one person at one moment in time.

*I trust my own palate and I want you to trust yours. There is no shame in drinking whatever wines suite your palate best. If you like it, you should drink it. If you smell or taste something totally different than what everyone else smells or tastes, that is fantastic. Woe be it for me, or anyone else, to tell you otherwise. The caveat here is that you should always try new wines. You should drink what you like, but you should always try new wines.

I like your approach to tasting and reviews. Makes perfect sense. Great post!

Finally a site that is interested in helping consumers like myself enjoy a glass of wine without talking down to me! I love it!
